Together we can have a compassionate community

Two local programs working to end hunger in our community need your help. The Church of the Redeemer Common Table and the Avenue Road Food Bank at the Church of the Messiah rely on your donations to be able to continue their assistance programs to our neighbours – providing food, meals, toiletries, health care and social support. Donate and help make someone’s holiday season just a little brighter.

“With the help of ABC RA members we can build a stronger, compassionate community”

Support Church of the Redeemer – The Common Table

“We could not  continue to feed the 450 families in our community that depend on us without the assistance of wonderful neighbours like you!”
~Stefanie Cepuch
Director, Avenue Road Food Bank

The Common Table Drop-In Program is a grassroots community effort in Yorkville, operating out of the Church of the Redeemer. They rely on volunteers and donors to meet the needs of the most vulnerable of our neighbours. They are open for both indoor and outside service from Monday to Friday and offer two healthy meals a day, daily toiletry supplies, basic health care services and housing referrals. A team of local volunteers prepare over 200 bagged lunches weekly for mobile distribution on the street. With your support they also provide social and creative activities, psychotherapy, support groups and more.

When we come together, our neighbourhood is stronger. Donations to our local food banks provide immediate help close to home, and volunteers are at the heart of this work.
