Re: Temporary Yorkville Avenue Closure Rogers x TIFF 50th Anniversary Celebration
In celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), Rogers, in collaboration with TIFF, is excited to bring the energy of TIFF back to its birthplace in Yorkville.
This letter is to let you know that there is a plan to close Yorkville Avenue, between Hazelton Avenue and Bellair Street to vehicular traffic to host a TIFF 50th Anniversary installation and event. The closure will be in effect from Thursday, September 4, 2025, to Monday, September 8, 2025, with reopening scheduled for the morning of September 8.

Alternate Routes
During the planned closure, motorists are advised to use the following alternate streets to travel east–west through the neighbourhood:
- Cumberland Street (For Eastbound Travel) – one block south of Yorkville Avenue. Accessible from Avenue Road
- Scollard Street (For Westbound Travel) – one block north of Yorkville Avenue. Accessible from Bay Street.
Pedestrian Access
Yorkville Avenue will remain open to pedestrians for the duration of the closure. We encourage everyone to come visit the event, which will be open to the public.
Scheduled Deliveries
We are requesting that all businesses schedule deliveries outside of the closure times (Thursday, September 4 at 6:00am through to Monday, September 8 at 6:00am). Please reach out to pa*********@********rs.com directly to assist with alternate delivery solutions.
We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause. Throughout the planned event, we will do everything we can to ensure that noise levels are kept to a moderate level and access to all business entranceways and exits are not impeded.
