Yonge Street resubmission in Rosedale bounces height to 35 Storeys
It’s time to tell the owners and developer of the site, City Planners and Councillor Saxe what you think.
The City of Toronto invites you to a virtual community meeting to discuss a proposed 35-storey mixed-use building at 1087–1091 Yonge Street and 9 Price Street.
While a 15-storey building was previously approved at this site, the current proposal is significantly taller and will require careful consideration to ensure it fits the character of the neighbourhood, represents good planning and meets community expectations.
This is your opportunity to learn about the proposal, ask questions, and provide feedback. Your input is important to help shape improvements that make the development more acceptable to the community.
The ABCRA encourages City planners and Councillor Saxe to ensure that the development:
- Respects the “Main Street” character of Yonge Street and animates the streetscape
- Provides generous setbacks to compensate for the increased height
- Is no higher than the nearby James development
