We are seeking new volunteers to help shape and drive ABCRA’s activities as our neighbourhood continues to evolve and grow. YOU can help improve our community by serving on the Board of Directors, helping out regularly as a street representative, or just occasionally on special projects and committees. You’ll be contributing to making your community a better place to live.

To ensure continuity, the ABCRA Board of Directors is elected on a rotating basis. There are a few Board positions to fill this year. The election will be held at the Association’s Annual General Meeting. Nominees must be registered members of the Association living within our boundaries (see map below). Join us.
Intentions of interest to stand for election to the Board of Directors can be sent to the Board by email no later than May 25, 2025.
If you are interested please familiarize yourself with the governing documents of the corporation and send a brief resume of your qualifications and interests for the position of Director that may shared with members at the AGM.
Nominees will be contacted by one of the Co-Presidents to discuss their interests and the roles of the Board of Directors of the ABCRA.
Other ways to get more involved
Street Representation: We are also looking for volunteers to be street representatives.
These non-voting positions play a vital role in providing a liaison between the residents of a particular street and the ABC board. Street Representatives are important and can bring attention to the particular issues on your street and also keep neighbours informed about issues that may affect them. Read SECTION 9 of the ABCRA By-laws and Articles. to see the bylaw details.
Special Committees: ABCRA can strike Special Committees to work on special issues. Do you have an issue or idea you think deserves attention? Are you concerned about the aging tree canopy on your street, is there a need for speed bumps, or Heritage Listings on your street? If you’re interested in advocating for improvements, the board can advise and help. Email us to discuss these possibilities.
