We have just learned that the City has cancelled the February 26th Licensing and Standards Committee meeting that was to consider changes to the Noise By-law. No reasons have been given and we have no information about the re-scheduling but expect it will not be until April.
We will notify you when we have more details.
We have received many responses, from across the City, to our February 12th email detailing many noise problems disrupting peoples lives, studies, and businesses.
We encourage you all to write City Council detailing your complaints.
Ask them for better noise control and enforcement! If you address your comments to "the Mayor and Members of Council" and send it to firstname.lastname@example.org it will be distributed to all Council Members. They need to hear about the problems!
Read the brief PRESENTATION (June 26, 2017) that the Toronto Noise Coalition made to the city's Noise Working Group.
This presentation provides our Action Plan for effective noise regulation.
If you want more details, read the TNC RESPONSE to the city's report of the Noise Working Group (January 31, 2018).
