La Société d’histoire de Toronto is hosting a talk by Rick Laprairie, geographer and researcher of early Great Lakes mapping, about his discovery.

Mr. Laprairie will present his research and findings on the cartographic genesis and evolution of Toronto’s name from its earliest appearance in 1678 on a map of New France.
This 45 minute talk will be followed by a question and answer period.
