Residents of a midtown Toronto neighbourhood are fuming after being awoken by the sound of construction crews working with heavy equipment overnight.

The crews reportedly showed up in the Eglinton Avenue East and Redpath Avenue area, just east of Yonge Street, after midnight, and then again around 5:45 a.m. to continue their work.
