Bay-Davenport Intersection: Resolved

The problems with the pedestrian crossings at the Bay-Davenport intersection have finally been solved.

There are now exclusive pedestrian phases in the signals at all crossings of the intersection. Vehicles are now permitted to turn only during an extra signal phase showing a green arrow. Vehicles are no longer permitted to turn during green signals when pedestrians are also crossing. Pedestrian crossings are protected better than they have ever been in the history of this intersection.

Thanks to Councillor Wong-Tam for her support of the residents and her persistence in advocating for the changes for the past three years and thanks also to the ABC Residence Association for commissioning an independent engineering study that supported the changes to the signaling at the intersection.
