Massive digital billboards in our neighbourhoods

They're at it again. Billboard lobbyists are once again trying to get special permission to allow a massive digital billboard in a residential neighbourhood.

If they win this exemption, it will set a dangerous precedent that will lead to more digital billboards across Toronto near homes, schools and parks.

Three complaints have been filed with the Office of the Integrity Commissioner regarding this application, because the company seeking an exemption from the sign bylaw has also offered $40K (annual) in cash to a city-owned agency in exchange for the exemption.  This type of influence is not allowed under the city's Community Benefits Policy.

Please take a moment to read more about the Leaside Digital Billboard and be the first to sign our new petition to Mayor Tory.

Thank you for your ongoing support!  It's hard to keep up with the corporate lobbyists, but we've proven time and time again that democracy works when people like you participate. Thanks!
