The Toronto Branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society is offering two eight-week courses in October and November on Basic Genealogy and Family History. One course will be held at Riverdale Public Library on Tuesday evenings, and the other at North York Central Library on Wednesday afternoons. These courses are designed for those who are just setting out on their family history journeys or who wish to upgrade their basic research skills. We'll cover the fundamentals, including terminology, types of sources, the use of on-line resources, libraries and archives, and record-keeping - participants will learn how to "think like a genealogist"!
