We would like to inform you that on SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 7, 2014 between
8:00 AM and 11:30 AM, certain streets that run by you or near you will be
closed or partially closed for the 5th Annual B&O Yorkville 5 KM Charity Run.
Over the past 4 years we have raised $200K+ for YWCA Women’s Shelters. This
year we are fundraising for YWCA Toronto Women’s Shelters, Mount Sinai
Hospital, Prostate Cancer Canada and Jesse Ketchum Public School. This is a
small, community race with only 1,000 participants.
Running concurrently on the same course will be the Canadian 5K Road Race
Championship, with 200 of Canada’s top elite runners, including Olympic athletes
and Pan Am Games contenders.
Police officers will be stationed along the course and at major
intersections to allow traffic to flow through.
Start Line: Southbound Bay Street near Scollard (1/2 ROAD – ALL SOUTHBOUND
LANES), Southbound Bay Street to Wellesley Street (1/2 ROAD – ALL
SOUTHBOUND LANES), at Wellesley Street the runners will be tapered into the S/B
Curb Lane, Southbound Bay Street Wellesley Street to Dundas (CURB LANE
ONLY), Westbound Dundas to University (CURB LANE ONLY), Northbound
University to Queen’s Park Crescent East (CURB LANE ONLY), Northbound
Queen’s Park Crescent East to Bloor Street (SINGLE LANE), Northbound Avenue
Road to Davenport (CURB LANE ONLY), Eastbound Davenport Road to New Street
(CURB, CENTRE & BIKE LANE), EXCEPTION: The W/B passing Lane of Davenport
Road, Avenue Road to Belmont Street will remain opened to vehicular traffic,
South-East Davenport Road to Bay Street (1/2 ROAD – ALL SOUTHBOUND LANES
+ 1 northbound LANE). Finish Line: on Davenport Road south of New Street.
Dispersal Area: Jesse Ketchum Public School.
