ROM: Dino Unearthed

Go to ROM site for full details HERE.

Full exhibit opens January 24, 2015

A new dinosaur has been discovered with a strange feature never seen before - and we need your help to give it a nickname HERE.

  • Enter the "Name* Our Dino" contest at www.dinohuntcanada.ca

  • Visit the 2nd-floor Dino Gallery (James and Louise Temerty Galleries of the Age of Dinosaurs) starting December 15 for hints about the dino's appearance (we're keeping it hidden in a shipping crate until January 24!) and some real bones from the new species, straight from the field.

  • ROM GOES WILD for the Holidays! (December 26, 2014 to January 4, 2015) would be a great time to celebrate wildlife, explore the exotic and come up with that wildly appealing nickname for our new dino.

  • Come back for our Dinos Invade! weekend at the ROM on January 24 and 25, 2015 and see the new dino - no longer in a crate! If you've not yet submitted your nickname for the new arrival, this dino-packed weekend will surely inspire you.

  • Be the first to hear the details as the Dino Unearthed exhibit, opening January 24, 2015, takes shape:

No dinosaur is complete without a special nickname - make this new dino proud by giving it a great one. Enter the contest* today!

* The "Name Our Dino" contest seeks a nickname, not the species name.
