How did Berryman Street get it's name?

Catherine Morana, the Ontario Dental Association's Research Librarian has written an interesting history about some of Yorkville's 19 th century  physicians and dentists.

This article, reprinted with permission of the Ontario Dental Association and Ontario Dentist, 2013 paints colorful pictures of life in early Yorkville and profiles Dr. Charles Valance Berryman the namesake for Berryman Street.

In 1869, Dr. Berryman  was instrumental in the creation of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO), a central examining and licensing body for physicians in the province, and served on their first executive council. until 1802.
