Macpherson Sidewalks and Reconstruction

The following is a message from Councillor Wong Tam's office.
Received September 17, 2013.

Hello Residents,

We have received some frustrating news from Transportation Staff.  They have advised that the Macpherson Avenue watermain replacement, road resurfacing, sidewalk repair and civic improvement to Jay Macpherson Green Park will be deferred to February 2014.

The deferral is due to some complications with the placement of the gas line that was installed by Enbridge Gas in 2009.  Some modifications need to be made to the plans for the watermain replacement because of these complications, which will cause the delay from Fall 2013 to Winter/Spring 2014.  Tabrez Khodabocus of Engineering and Constructions Services will be able to provide more details and answer any follow up questions you might have.  He can be reached at tkhodab@toronto.ca

Councillor Wong-Tam knows how necessary road resurfacing on Macpherson Avenue is and she is disappointed with the delay.  She asks for your patience as this work moves forward.

Please let us know if you have any follow up questions or concerns.

Sincerely,
David Simor, on behalf of
Councillor Kristyn Wong-Tam
