The City completed the redesign of the Yonge and Roxborough offset intersection to improve its safety. Like most offset intersections across busy arteries, the intersection had long proven hazardous to drivers and pedestrians alike. A signal was installed to control both vehicular and pedestrian traffic and to discourage jay-walking. Attractive greenery was added to the east corner, and the northeast curb was adjusted to allow for traffic from Roxborough East to get onto Yonge Street in a controlled manner. These changes are welcome, but the signal has had negative consequences for the residential street of Roxborough West.
