Dear Ward 27 Residents, Businesses and Stakeholders,
It is my pleasure to wish you and your families a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and a wonderful New Year as December comes to a close.
The past year has had its share of challenges and victories, from maintaining library services, to keeping a casino out of our downtown and keeping Council working through what has, at times, been a Mayor-led circus. I would like to thank all of you who have written to me and shared your thoughts on these and other pressing issues over the course of 2013.
In January, I will be reaching out to let you know about upcoming community events, important campaigns, and projects taking place in our neighbourhoods. Expanding and improving park space, revitalizing the Downtown East, building transportation infrastructure, and hosting WorldPride are just a sampling of the items on the 2014 agenda.
City services continue to be available over the holidays. Once again, the City's 311 service is available by phone and email (firstname.lastname@example.org) to report non-emergency problems and emergency services can be reached at 911.
I am honoured to have represented Ward 27 as your City Councillor for another year.
I remain yours in service,
