Winter learning at the Toronto Branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society

Get a head start on 2018! The Toronto Branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society is offering four courses to choose from during the winter months, beginning in January.

Registration is now open for:

  • Introduction to Genetic Genealogy
    Three Wednesdays starting January 10 or three Saturdays starting January 13. This course is being offered twice due to popular demand! For genealogists with well-researched family trees that they wish to confirm and expand with genetic evidence. The emphasis will be on using Family Finder, the autosomal DNA test from Family Tree DNA.

  • Hands-on Early Ontario Land Records
    Three Thursdays starting February 1. Find out how to navigate and use the land record collections at the Archives of Ontario, and put your skills into practice with expert guidance.
    Instructor: Jane MacNamara   *Just a few spaces left*
  • Introduction to Genealogy and Family History
    A fast-paced one-day course on Saturday February 10. Discover the essential records and techniques for family history research. Learn how to extract and evaluate data and work towards genealogical conclusions.
