How fast or slow should cars go? Special Meeting to Decide.

The Toronto and East York Community Council is convening a special meeting Monday, June 22, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers of City Hall to decide whether the speed limit on local roads within the Council area will be reduced from 40 to 30 kilometers per hour. 

The Toronto and East York Community Council governs Wards 14, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32 as well as our own Ward 27.
The decision will affect only local roads, which are basically neighbourhood streets, and will not affect collector or arterial roads.

The public is invited to the meeting. If you cannot attend the meeting but want to make your views known,send your comments to the Council and to Ward 27 Councillor Kristyn Wong-Tam before June 22.
